Sunday, November 5    Pillow Party

Sunday, November 5, 2017   1:00--4:00pmPotPie904 Westport Road, KCMO

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snowGlobal warming may be taking it's toll on our winters here in Missouri, but with a few stitches you can transport yourself to a winter-dreamland.  Loosely based on a snowflake, this all-skill level pillow doesn't require superhuman levels of patience.  It's stitches are fun (and forgiving) enough to make while chatting and drinking, and it is perfect for keeping for yourself or giving as a gift.  (You giver, you.) Insert included.

Sunday, November 12   Ring my Bell

Sunday, November 12   1:00--4:00pmPotPie   904 Westport Road, KCMO

Inspired by a vintage pattern of Amanda's grandmother, the "patron saint of sparkle and shine," this modern take on a classic is updated with wool felt, leather, and flat sequins.  You will create two bells which will be formed to create one, or may be separated as two.  (We will give Queen Bey a run for her money with this one.)  Of note:  While it's an all-level class, more experienced beaders may finish more quickly, and those of us that are mildly crafty or big gabbers might finish one and take the other with us.

Sunday, December 3    Christmas is for Lovers

Sunday, December 3    1:00--4:00pmPotPie 904 Westport Road,  KCMO  FULL! --Registration Now Closed--

This minimalist mistletoe wreath is the perfect Christmas decoration to encourage maximum smooching.  Measuring approximately 12"x10" without hanger, this heirloom-quality project is made of wool felt, hemp and wood to ensure holiday party make-out sessions for years to come.

Technique:  Wool felt leaves will be formed with a wire skeleton, creating a shapeable bundle.  Two layers glued together with wire down the middle, then cut into different shapes and lengths.  Naked wood beads are then knotted onto hemp, and everything is tied together and attached to a metal ring wound with soft wool roving.  Viola!

Sunday, December 10   1:00--4:00pm    PotPie The mother of all gifts, the "Stitched Memories" piece will make even the coldest hearts melt.  Utilizing a favorite personal image you provide in advance, you will leave with a 4" inch embellished photo, framed in an embroidery hoop.  Those new to stitching will get a run-down on stitches and tips to get started; more experienced stitchers can work creatively and get more coverage. Extra gift cred when you make the recipent cry.
